Reid Jamieson
on the Train with
CBC's Vinyl Cafe

Reid recently rode from Vancouver to Toronto on a very special train with CBC's Vinyl Cafe. Reid was asked to join the Vinyl Cafe for a very intimate show on the rails where Stuart Mclean told stories and Reid sang some moving covers to bring it home. This special show aired on CBC Radio in June but you can listen to the whole show on your computer or iPod now! Just download the Vinyl Cafe PODCAST here: http://www.cbc.ca/podcasting

FREE TRACKS!>
Due to popular demand and some pretty kind feedback, Reid felt that he would really like to share the songs he performed with you - as requested - but as singles sans clickityclack. And just so we don't mess with the mother corp, Reid re-recorded the songs in question and posted them to his site for you to download, and share, for free. That's right. FREE! Just don't sell em - and perhaps consider purchasing one of Reid';s fine albums if you feel like sending the love back his way. They sure do make swell gifts and are available online and in zee shops. We think thats a pretty swell deal all in all...hope you do to.

New Original Song! Written especially for CBC's Vinyl Cafe train show April 2008

Rail - music Reid Jamieson,
lyrics Carolyn V. Mill
Recorded by Blackfish Sound

Put your ear to the rail,
You can hear my love come down

Where hearts and heroes fail,
I won't be turned around

Sleepwalking these rails,
I let the grass grow long

Oh my memory fails,
And I forgot my song

Black berries grow wild,
Smell of pitch in the sun

Weeds roll over my mind,
And they almost won

But I said - No more, No more,
No more, No more

No more, No more,
No more, No more

Put your ear to the rail,
You can hear my love come down

Where hearts and heroes fail,
I won't be turned around

Tearing up these weeds,
Blow the smoke in my stack

Sound of steel on Steel,
And there's no going back

Got a head full of coal,
Hear the lightning crack

Light a fire in my soul,
Get me back on track

Put your ear to the rail,
You can hear my love come down

Where hearts and heroes fail,
I won't be turned around

No more driving this blind,
time to throw that switch

Drives a spike in my mind,
Makes my fingers itch

You better get on board,
Or get out of my way

Hauling heavy and slow,
But I'm leaving today

No more, No more,
No more, No more

No more, No more,
No more, No more

And I know that Ive been here before

And it's taken it's toll on me

But I'm not giving up anymore

No I'm not giving up on me.
