MAMA’S DAY – An ode to moms everywhere, on Mother’s Day, or any day.
Reid lost his mom to ovarian cancer the Christmas he turned 15, and she was only 35, leaving a heart-shaped hole in his soul where the sunshine should have been. But also a deep appreciation for all that mother’s do, and a sadness that he never got to tell her. This upbeat joyous tribute to moms everywhere is just what she deserves. A good reminder that every day is MAMA’S DAY. Lyrics below.

MAMA’S DAY (lyrics)

One day is not enough time
To celebrate you mama
I may need, plenty more times two
And maybe even that won’t do

Ever since I was
Just a little boy
Mama said to me
Don’t fool around
What goes around
Is nothin that you need

And when your friends
Start chiming in
Don’t you be mean
When in the end
Every dart you send
Will only make you bleed

Listen to what mama said
You tell the truth and make your bed
Be kind, on time and use your head
Just listen to what mama said

When there was only a little left
She’d save it for me
And when I failed a test
She said ya try your best
There’s nothing you can’t be

When she tried to hide
That her eyes were red
And never let me see
She’d say go on ahead
I’ll just rest a bit
Don’t you worry about me

Listen to what mama said
You tell the truth and make your bed
Be kind, on time and use your head
Just listen to what mama said

Oh if I had my way
I’d celebrate you every day
You know cuz, every day
Is mama’s day to me

La la la la la la hey hey
Every day is mama’s day
La la la la la la hey hey
Every day is mama’s day

Oh mama said, My mama said
Don’t you worry about me
Oh mama said, My mama said
Don’t you worry about me
Oh mama said, my mama said

One day is not enough time
To celebrate you mama
